Meet Jay.

Jay’s a servant leader, not a politician.

Jay is a husband, dad, lawyer, and veteran who lives in Papillion with his wife, three boys, and a Goldendoodle named Margo.

Before settling down in Nebraska, Jay served on active duty in the United States Air Force, spending three years at Joint Special Operations Command and deploying to the Middle East six times. In the military, Jay was in the top 10% of graduates from both Commissioned Officer Training and Squadron Officer School, and in 2019 he was recognized as the Judge Advocates Association’s United States Air Force Outstanding Career Judge Advocate. He is the recipient of numerous military awards and decorations and is a graduate of the United States Army Airborne School. Jay still serves as a colonel in the Air Force Reserve.

Jay’s law practice is focused on financing affordable housing for working-class folks. In recent years, he’s also served the community as a deacon at his church, youth football coach, advocate in eviction court, and volunteer in local homeless shelters.

Jay wrote a book called Decent Discourse (an Amazon #1 New Release), making the case that we can overcome destructive political discourse and save our country with truth, humility, and compassion — in other words, by loving our neighbors (even when they might be wrong).

Jay isn’t done serving. That’s why he’s asking to represent you in the Nebraska legislature.

“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”

— Micah 6:8 (ESV)
